"Our trip to the jungle to Manu Wildlife Centre in the Manu National Park was wonderful - the park is a world biosphere for the diversity of its wildlife species ensuring its protection. Our time in Peru is almost at an end - it has been amazing - the life, the colour, the Inca influence overlaid with Spanish colonial architecture is fascinating. Machu Picchu was indescribable and we had to pinch ourselves to believe we were really there - we did the short version of the Inca trail - just one day and that was difficult enough with the altitude but very rewarding and MP itself is mystical and spiritual tucked away high in the clouds - a testament to the Incas who were certainly experts in architecture. We go next into Bolivia and Lake Tititaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800m and on the places we will be staying requires us to climb 200 steps which we'll be doing extremely slowly!!"
