ITINERARY

Day 1 Buenos Aires

Welcome to Buenos Aires – the Paris of the Americas! Transfer to the hotel of your choice in Recoleta, Retiro, San Telmo or Palermo. This evening you will be taken for a Dinner & Tango Show at El Querandi. This 1920’s Art Deco building was a meeting point for artists, writers and students during the 1960s and now houses one of the city’s great ‘tanguerias’. You’ll be treated to a fantastic dinner and then sit back to watch the spectacle of Argentina’s favourite dance. At the end of the show, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 2 Buenos Aires

Depart on a half-day tour of Buenos Aires, a city of grand architecture, beautiful parks, wide avenues and wonderful walks. The tour takes in the most important monuments and sights of the city, including Plaza 25 de Mayo, the Government House (La Casa Rosa) and City Hall, the old neighbourhood of San Telmo, the eclectic neighbourhood of La Boca and the portside district of Puerto Madero. The tour finishes in Recoleta, home to the famous Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron is buried.
Tonight, you will have a fantastic introduction to Argentine cuisine with a hands-on cooking class and dinner experience matched with local wines.

Day 3 Buenos Aires

Indulge in a fascinating half-day tour discovering the passions of Buenos Aires. Choose from a tour celebrating literary great Jose Luis Borges and political hero Eva Peron or uncover the history of Argentine football and tango. Maybe you are a bike rider or an art lover, let us know and we will organise the perfect tour for you!

Day 4 Buenos Aires

Enjoy a full-day tour to one of Argentina’s iconic estancias, where you’ll learn about the life of the gaucho and enjoy a traditional bbq lunch. Ask your consultant about overnight stays.

Day 5 Buenos Aires

Day at leisure; consider a ferry ride across the river to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay for a great day out.

Day 6 Buenos Aires

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight or extend your time in Argentina with a visit to Iguazu Falls, the colonial north-west or Patagonia.
