A short flight will take you to the pristine San Blas Islands in the Caribbean Sea. Home to the indigenous Kuna people, the islands are self-governing and tourism is limited to just a few islands to help the Kuna preserve their way of life. Your stay in San Blas includes two daily tours to nearby beaches, uninhabited islands or Kuna villages.
Enjoy a free day on the San Blas Islands. Join a tour to a secluded beach or visit a Kuna community to learn about the customs of this interesting tribe, including the women’s traditional dress, and Molas, which feature intricate geometrical designs inspired by nature.
Fly back to Panama City and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a tour to the Agua Clara Visitor Centre where you can learn about the construction of the Panama Canal and have great views over Gatun Lake and the canal expansion works.
