"We had an excellent trip. I would fly Lan Chile again but we were jiggered after 24 hours to get here. The tango show was marvellous - we even stayed awake! The dancing was brilliant but there was too much singing. What a difference a day makes! The city tour of Buenos Aires was terrific, although it was terribly hot. I learnt a number of new things about the place. Our flight to Ushuaia was quite a shemozzle. The flight was consistently delayed with a notice to go and ask the agent about it. The 4pm flight for Ushuaia eventually took off at 7 30 pm, with no explanation offered. We set off this morning on a 200 kilometre round trip through such glorious country, wonderful lakes and valleys, and of course, mountains. We trekked for an hour, then went for lunch. Oh, what a lunch! Salads and our own mini barbecue. They brought to the table a mountain of lamb, we thought it was for everyone else in the place, but no, it was just for us. I'm sure it was half a sheep and was so succulent, tender and sweet we couldn't stop eating, and managed to finish most of it. Our guide was a real charmer from Buenos Aires. She works six months of the year here, then back to Buenos Aires. I wanted to bring her home for the boys! We're having a quiet day today waiting to board the ship later in the day. Our hotel is up on the mountain with lovely views. El Calafate: Where to start? Antarctica is so magnificent I have run out of superlatives. It is a wonderland, white with penguins strutting their stuff like little waiters on a pure white tablecloth. It was really sad saying goodbye to all the wonderful friends we had made, but here we are in El Calafate. Today we have just returned from the Perito Merino glacier which was mind blowing. It's not just another glacier, it calved many times, an awesome sight. Patagonia Camp: This is a magnificent region, Patagonia Camp is posh, posh, posh. Our yurt is deliciously, luxuriously warm and cosy. It's really cold here and the wind is worse than the Antarctic. We have just returned from a day's trekking. I'm positively bushed, mainly because of the wind. We saw a stunning waterfall and marvellous flowers. The food is terrific."

Yes, a fabulous trip! I have been straight back to work (unfortunately) but had on my list to get in touch with you to let you know that the arrangements went superbly. No problem at all with flights, transfers, hotels or tours – everything went very smoothly and on time,...

It was a fantastic tour and a marvellous experience. Thank you for putting it all together for us and for providing the pre-departure and ongoing support. We were very impressed with the incredibly smooth co-ordination, pickups and punctuality of all the drivers and guides. The initial hiccup with our late...
