Great news! Effective 17 June 2019, Australians are no longer required to have a visa to enter Brazil for stays up to 90 days.
Australian passport holders require a visa to enter Cuba. This visa must be issued prior to departure. The visa to Cuba is a Tourist Card, which is valid for 30 days from date of entry but can be extended in-country for a further 30 days.
At Contours Travel we can provide you with your Cuban visa and help you out with the application and process. We recommend at least four weeks for visa processing, so please get in touch to plan your next trip to Cuba and the details you need for your visa.
From 16 December 2019, Australians are no longer required to pay a reciprocity fee to enter Chile. However as of May 2020, Australian passport holders will require a visa to enter Chile which must be processed online prior to departure (details and cost to be confirmed). Contact your consultant if you have any questions.
As an Australian, you need a visa to travel to Paraguay.
You will get a 90-day multiple-entry visa on arrival at the Silvio Pettirossi Asuncion International Airport for a fee of AU$135 (payable in cash only). This is the only port that visas are granted on arrival, if you are entering the country from a land or water or any other airport, you must get a visa before you arrive. Contact us for more information about the visa process for Paraguay.
With your Australian passport, you will need a visa to travel to Suriname. However, we recommend applying to this visa when traveling to Guyana first as visa processes are easier. From Australia there is no close consulate or embassy to do this process. Please contact us to tell you more about the process for this visa.
For any other country in Latin America, you do not need a visa with an Australian passport. Which means that means travel to Latin America is easier than ever! Get in touch with us to start planning your next Latin American adventure.
